A little bumpy, but not bad

The first Sunday of trying our new “areas” of responsibility seemed to go pretty well. As would be expected, we had some confusion (what I observed) on who does what. However, it didn’t seem to be overwhelming by any means. Yak and I had a fun and confusing time putting out the signs. I caused the confusion by becoming disoriented on which corners needed which signs. I think I was just experiencing “one of those mornings”.
Jeff Jesse enjoyed being able to set up the nursery, then go back home and pick up the rest of his family (though Jeff only lives about a mile from ECC). My desire, from Jeff’s experience, is that we can have some freedom within our responsibilities so we don’t need to be around all morning if we don’t have to be. Of course, it does depend on the responsibility too. Mind you, we will occasionally need others to chip in where we’re short on hands.
One thing I noticed with being a P.M. runner - you really need to hustle to get carts pushed down and going out to grab signs to pack away. It may be good if the runners go grab the signs right after service so they can be back to help push carts (it takes the music team and sanctuary crew a few minutes to get them loaded anyway).
I mentioned that Yak and I had a great time putting out signs… What made that time even greater was the fact we were driving Ed’s car. Ed, your car rocks! Are you thinking of getting into racing?
Well, enough for now.

Let’s face it, communication is never over-rated. From my experience, you can never expound enough because something (even if minute) is always lost in the medium. In addition, we all despise having to search through our inbox for correspondence information. The beauty of the blog is that it enables us to archive, post and comment on thoughts as never before.
This blog is for all involved at Crosspoint Lynnwood to contribute. Simply click on the “Become an Author” link above to sign up to write posts, not just comment on written ones.
Any ideas, concerns, thoughts, questions please submit through the “Feedback” tab at the top of the page.
